A piano & 200 candles
The attractive and virtuous pianist David Gómez returns with his usual Candlelit Concert, featuring concerts in Majorca during July and August with music by Johannes Sebastian Bach, Frederic Chopin, Ernesto Lecuona, Sergei Rachmaninoff, Astor Piazzolla, as well as his own work.
The ability of the Swiss interpreter to excite and above all to delight and engage all our senses makes these recitals an essential event in Majorcan summer. A talented musician that has been seducing his followers since his first concert when he was 14 years old. After his concerts at the Lighthouse of Andratx, Girona, Segovia, and the gardens of the Royal Cartuja of Valldemossa, the Swiss pianist will offer on Thursday 19th of July a concert at the Lighthouse of Port de Sóller. During August he will be seen in idyllic locations of Majorca: At the train station in Sóller, at the Castle of Capdepera, at the grand Hotel Son Net’s courtyard and at the Talayotic’ town of Arta.
After releasing the album ‘A. Piazolla. Tangos for piano’ (Ona Digital), David Gómez prepares the recording for his essential works of the Cuban composer Ernesto Lecuona, which are usually included in the repertoire of his recitals. Born in Switzerland in 1974, the interpreter studied in Geneva and Rotterdam, and has toured around the world: from India, The Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia and Japan to the Middle East, U.S., Latin America and several European countries.
