Award for sustainable architecture
The Majorcan architect Carles Oliver obtained the First Edition Prize Poraxa for Sustainable Architecture with his project "Experimental Laboratory with sandstone", located in Portocolom, in eastern Majorca. It consists of eight townhouses in whose work was discovered the value of recycling and reuse of waste generated by the construction process itself.
Oliver won the first edition of this award to combine perfectly modernity with the use of recycled materials. The awards were given at the Museum Es Baluard of Palma, after holding a conference on sustainable architecture.
