Can Marçà Cave in Ibiza
The north of Ibiza is the home to Can Marçà, an impressive cave around 100,000 years old nestled inside a cliff in Port de Sant Miquel de Balansat. The cave, which is around 14 metres high, was made by telluric faults. It has withstood glaciers and extreme temperatures, although today it is practically fossilised. Only in some inner galleries does dripping water continue to sculpt stalactites and stalagmites.
Open all year round
Visiting hours - Winter: 11am to 6pm.
