Exhibition "Before the avalanche" in Andratx

The Cultural Centre of Andratx offers until March 2015, the exhibition of Bent Holstein, a Danish painter and graphic artist, which shows pictures of Eleuthera, Las Tortugas, France, Slovenia and Austria. The exhibition presents a complete series of photos printed on paper and mounted on Dibond, wood or framed. The artist has worked with these different techniques and materials such as dispersion, stains, wax, varnish and oil.

The title of the exhibition of Bent Holstein is largely influenced by the early snow in the Alps. Holstein intended in this work to point up the viewer the great power of nature. The visitor is confronted with works of Devils Beach, where the water level has risen up to over 2 meters due to heavy rains, after over 3 years of dry season and the icefall in Unec Valley in Slovenia this winter, which has destroyed lots of trees.
