'Great Scors' by José Manuel Broto
The Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art Es Baluard, in Palma, will host the exhibition Broto. Great Scores, a selection of recently-created works produced between 2004 and 2012 by the artist from Zaragoza José Manuel Broto, with a highly musical influence.
Curated by Carlos Jover and co-produced by the Institut d'Estudis Baleàrics, this exhibition displays deliberately abstract compositions arranged in same way as notes in a pentagram are set out in musical language: they are signs which take up the passage of emotion related to rhythms of gestures and colours, space and time. The spectator is, as in the case of music, the performer and the vehicular instrument. This unique works, due to its significant metaphorical capacity and richness in plastic terms, could be seen in Es Baluard until the upcoming 5th of January 2014.
