Impossible365 presents the floating crossing from Ibiza to Mallorca by José Manuel López
The athlete José Manuel López crosses floating the distance of 100 kilometers, between the islands of Ibiza and Mallorca, in 40 hours non stop. The arrival is scheduled for this coming Sunday, 21st of July 2013 at about 7 pm in the marina of Puerto Portals. The time of arrival is estimated, since it depends on the physical conditions of the swimmer and the condition of the sea. The beginning of the event is scheduled for the 20th of July.
Jose Manuel Lopez was born in 1970 in Barcelona and grew up in Mallorca. He visited the Swimming school Club Natación La Salle in Palma de Mallorca, where he was well trained as a swimmer. He was Champion of the Balearic Islands and participant of several spanish Championships. He also leads various sports projects for humanitarian purposes. In this event, spectators can bring shoes and clothes they no longer use, which will be delivered to people in need.
