Marlango in Palma to present the album 'An extraordinary day'
The versatile pop band with influences from jazz and blues Marlango plays a concert in the Teatro Principal in Palma de Mallorca next Saturday 2nd of February at 9pm. The trio formed by Leonor Watling, Alejandro Pelayo and Oscar Ybarra lands in Mallorca after two years of absence from the island to present their album An extraordinary day, their first album in Spanish.
In the video Lo que sueñas vuela (What you dream flies), Leonor Watling works for the first time as a director, joining the world of cinema and music. The actress, known for roles in films like My Life Without Me (2002), Bad Education (2004) and Bad seasons (2005), joined the pianist Alejandro Pelayo and trumpeter Oscar Ybarra in 2002 to form Marlango. Their first three albums, Marlango, Automatic Imperfection and The Electrical Morning, got a great reception from audiences and critics, who finally found a different and elegant band of music. Its personal style between pop and rock with influences of jazz and blues has as well influences of cabaret music and Tom Waits.
