Property investment in the Balearic Islands: a safe bet
The report prepared recently by property consultancy CBRE (CB Richard Ellis) is very favourable concerning the residential property sector. The consultancy is confident that in late 2011 property activity could begin to be reactivated; it even states in its annual report that “from 2013 there will exist areas where demand will be high enough to stimulate the development of new homes”.
The report, entitled Trends 2011, also indicates that “The Balearic Islands are perceived as a safe, close-by destination, with a strategic location in the Mediterranean”. These “selling points”, along with the climate and a well-developed transport network, make the Balearic Islands one of the Mediterranean's most attractive residential destinations, and a favourite amongst Europeans, with a great future as a residential property market.
