Seductive paintings in Can Prunera, Sóller

The modernist museum Can Prunera in Sóller presents until February, 17th 2013 the exhibition “L'illa d'Aligi Sassu” (The island of Aligi Sassu) and thereby a selection of paintings and sculptures, in which the Milan artist eternalised his view upon Majorca.

The Italian painter and sculptor lived near Pollensa, Majorca, from 1963, until his death in 2000. Helenita Olivares, Sassus widow, came especially all the way from Italy to be present at the inauguration on Friday, 17th of November. She very much appreciated the big attention the creative work of her late husband receives in Majorca. The very night has been the 100th anniversary of Aligi Sassu.
