Streich Dresdner Trio in Puerto de Sóller
The German Trio Streich Dresdner Trio, formed by Jörg Faßmann (violin), Sebastian Herberg (viola) and Michael Pfaender (cello), will perform the upcoming 28th of Saturday, as part of the Classical Music Festival Port de Sóller. These three professional musicians widely known are members of the Sächsische Staatskapelle Dresden, one of the oldest symphony orchestras in the world, renowned for having outstanding directors of the caliber of Richard Wagner and Richard Strauss, among many others.
Streich Dresdner Trio lands on Mallorca to interpret Variationen Goldberg BWV 988, by Johannes Sebastian Bach dating from 1741. The German trio was formed in 1995, when the three young musicians met and decided to play together chamber music. Since then they have recorded numerous albums. For the recording of the "Goldberg Variations" in the version for string trio, the Dresden String Trio received in all categories five stars in the prestigious "klassik.com".
