The International Music Festival is coming to the "Teatro Principal" in Palma

The programme will consist of five concerts based on the works of the great masters of classical music. The "Teatro Principal" from next Saturday, will host the 1st International Music Festival. The festival program me will revolve around the pieces of the the great classical masters such as Händel, Beethoven, Schumann, Brahms and Chopin amongst many others.

Saturday starting 7 p.m.  the "Schola Antiqua" conducted by Juan Carlos Asensio will perform a concert titled "Medieval Monodies and Poliphonies". At the later date of March 9th it will be the turn of Baroque Ensemble of Mallorca, who will interpret works of Händel, Leclair and Locatelli.  The program me will continue on the 13th of April with the performance of pianist Andreu Riera, with a repertoire of pieces by Beethoven, Schumann, Brahms and Chopin.

On the 24th May "Quinteto Frontela" a wind instrument group will perform works of Hindemith, Cage, Berio and Ligeti. On the 28th June, the guitarist Carlos Herráiz will bring the first edition of the International Music Festival to a close with a performance of the works of Bach, Dowland, Sor, Tárrega and Albéniz. All performances will be held at the "Teatro Principal" of Palma and the entrance price will be 10 euros.
