The Manacor-Artà greenway will be ready in April
The old railway line Manacor - Arta will be replaced by a greenway and an cyclotouristic itinerary for residents and tourists. The route will cross a total of 28.6 kilometers of the villages of Manacor, Sant Llorenç des Cardassar, Son Servera and Artà.
The objective of creating this greenway is to provide the East Mallorca of added value to expand the supply of environmental tourism and leisure, so that residents or tourists can use it for hiking or cycling. The project to create this environmental itinerary includes the creation of six rest areas with benches, bicycle parking and garden areas, the recovery of more than 24,000 m2 of wooded areas by planting 6,000 trees (pine, oak, mulberry ...) and cleaning the path.
The Green Corridor is expected to be ready in April 2014.
