The musical 'Les Miserables' in Palma
The popular musical 'Les Miserables', which after 28 years is the most represented musical worldwide, will be in the Auditorium of Palma de Mallorca in March 2014. Based on the novel by Victor Hugo, this show features music by Alain Boublil and Claude - Michel Schönberg and lyrics by Herbert Kretzmer. With 65 million viewers worldwide, this musical is represented in London every night since it was first performed on the 8th of October 1985 at the Queens Theatre.
In 2010, to celebrate the 25th anniversary of its release, Cameron Mackintosh created this new production with a renewed staging that includes paintings of Victor Hugo himself projected during the show, a choreographer Matt Kinley idea that gives greater poetry and depth to the story. At that moment it was only represented in theaters in Madrid and Barcelona, but in November 2013 began an international tour that will have its representation in Mallorca on March 2014.
