The opera 'Aida' in Palma

One of the biggest successes of the Opera season comes back to the Teatro Principal de Palma. The opera Aida will be performed from the 15th of March to the 22nd of March and the tickets cost between 5 to 60 euros.

Performance - March 2015:
Sunday, 15th, 6 p.m.
Wednesday, 18th, 8 p.m.
Friday, 20th, 8 p.m.
Sunday, 22nd, 6 p.m.

Aida is an opera in four acts with music by Guiseppe Verdi  and a libretto in Italian by Antonio  Ghislanzoni, based on a scenario en French by Camille du Locle (often attributed to French Egyptologist Auguste Mariette). Aida was first performed at the Khedivial Opera House in Kairo on 24th December 1871.

Aida is an Ethiopian princess, who was captured and lives as an slave in Egypt. The captain of the Egypt Guard Radames experiences a deep interior conflict due to his love to Aida and his loyalty to the King of Egypt. As Amneris, daughter of the King, falles in love with Radames the plot becames more and more complicated.
