Víctor Ullate Ballet in Palma
On Saturday 5th of October the Auditorium de Palma hosts the Víctor Ullate Ballet with a repertoire that includes four pieces for all publics that have been part of their current tour of Spain, France and Italy.
The first one, Seguiriya, is a work premiered in 2000 that combines contemporary classical dance with flamenco roots.Tres is a choreography piece signed by Eduardo Lao, artistic director of the Company. Après toi features choreography by Victor Ullate and is a tribute to his teacher, Maurice Béjart.
The star piece of the program is Bolero, which, inspired by the music of Maurice Ravel, is a tribute to the time of the composition and the ballets of the twenties that changed the understanding of dance as exclusively female. Víctor Ullate in this version takes us back to the original choreography, in which a couple is highlighted and the whole story is based on the male-female dichotomy.
