World Architecture Festival 2012 awards a sustainable project
The award of the year 2012 has been for the Gardens by the Bay, in Singapore, designed by Wilkinson Eyre Associates, Atelier One and Atelier Ten. Of the 500 proposals submitted, the project awarded was finally Gardens by the Bay because of the union of nature and technology, one of the samples of horticulture and gardening world's greatest art.
It has been designed as a series of distinct ecosystems which will enable the gardens to function with maximum environmental efficiency, and to showcase those world habitats most at risk from climate change.
